the wing and prone competition of the year returns to daymer bay
across a 16 day holding period

given a green light 3 days ahead of the first sign of conditions aligning within the holding period
the competition will be split into prone and wing disciplines run on separate days
following a heat ladder format 2-5 riders will battle in heats of up to 20 minutes
judged on their surf foil riding by a team of judges
winners will progress to a final

will once again be the playground for the kernow foil classic
it’s point break which reforms into a bowled beach break and natural amphitheatre
makes for the perfect foil and comp site
for the green light to be given we will be looking for w/nw swells and wind pushing with it for the comp to run over high tide
once signed up, riders will receive an info pack to help prepare for the competition
once a green light is given to a wing/prone competition day,
a riders briefing time will set and heat ladder drawn
the aim will be to run all divisions within the discipline on 1 day

the kernow foil shoot out
new for 2024 we’ve added the kernow foil shoot out in which riders are invited to create a 4 person team and submit a riding clip to be screened at the kernow foil fest where live voting and awards will take place.
A winning rider shootout clip will be crowned in both wing and prone disciplines.

all riders will be invited to daily prone, wing and downwind media sessions over the duration of the holding period for content collection with support from our media partner
